Héctor Ramírez Lasso, received his Bachelor Degree in Architecture from the Pontificia
Universidad Javeriana, Bogota, Colombia and he is also licensed as a Certified General
Contractor in the State of Florida.
In his professional career, has over 30 years of construction and architectural experience.
He has held a variety of management positions during his career as Project Manager,
Project Architect and Design Consultant for different architectural firms. In New York (APA Architects, Ira J Benlevi, AIA & John Carusone, AIA) he led the development of institutional, commercial and residential projects. His work included the design and construction of multiple projects of Single and Multiple Family Dwellings, Warehouses and Offices. In Miami (Luis Revuelta, AIA), he organized and coordinated construction documents, working drawings, details and specifications to develop the design and construction of Mid-Rise and High-Rise Buildings
in the area of Brickell, Miami Beach, Sunny Isles and Titusville, Florida.
Héctor Ramirez Lasso, after graduating and during his career has completed different courses abroad, workshop and seminars to continue to further his knowledge and grow his professional career. The wide range of curriculum includes Urbanism, Structural Systems, Building Technology, Design +Technology seminars, Project Management courses and Mitigating Disaster Design & Construction workshop. He has participated as part of the jury for several graduation final projects at the Catholic University, Pereira, Rda Col. In his professional career, he has participated in different contests in Housing & Urbanism, like Third Millennium Park, Bogotá Col – Main Public Spaces, Pereira Col - Low Income Housing, Armenia Col - Seniors Social Club Center, Bogotá Col – Main Market Place, Pereira, Col – Urban & Architectonic Housing Proposal, Barcelona, Spain.
He has worked on his own projects as an independent architect in his country Colombia
and currently provides services as design consultant in Miami. He is currently approved and eligible to take the ARE, (Architecture Registration Examination), to acquire his New York State license
